Guru Smt. Ranjitha Suresh

An accomplished Hindustani classical vocalist based in Melbourne, Australia, Guru Smt. Ranjitha Suresh hails from a family of musicians. Initially trained in Carnatic classical music, she transitioned to Hindustani classical music and has been a dedicated disciple of Guru Sri Koushik Aithal from Bangalore for the past 16 years. Her singing beautifully embodies the Kirana, Gwalior, and Patiala Gharana styles of Khayal gayan.

Featured performer at Premier of Victoria Hon.Jacinta Allan's Diwali State Reception 2024. Regular performer with the Melbourne Hindustani Classical Music Society and the Melbourne International Festival of Hindustani Classical Music for four consecutive years. Collaborated with Multicultural Arts Victoria for the renowned ‘Sangam’ and ‘Dawn Raga Series’ festivals. Featured at the ‘Bold & Brilliant’ South Asian Women’s Music Festival curated by The Boite.

Classes at Naadasonic Foundation

One-on-One Classes
Rooted in the traditional Guru-Shishya Parampara, these classes emphasize a deeply personalized and immersive learning experience. Focuses on each student’s understanding, creativity, and level of learning, with special attention to voice culture and creative development. The individualized approach ensures the transmission of not only musical skills but also the ethos and nuances of Hindustani classical music.

Master Classes
Conducted once every two months, focusing on a single raag. Designed as group sessions for students already familiar with the raag, aimed at in-depth exploration of its dynamics, advanced practice, and fostering creativity in a collaborative setting.

Light Music Classes
These classes introduce students to a variety of semi-classical and light music genres, combining technical skill with emotional expression. Genres include:
Bhavageethe: Poetic songs with deep emotional resonance, popular in Karnataka.
Bhaktigeethe: Devotional songs in Kannada and other regional languages.
Abhangs: Devotional compositions praising Lord Vitthal, primarily in Marathi.
Bhajans: Melodious devotional songs in Hindi, Sanskrit, and other languages.
Kajri: Folk songs from Uttar Pradesh, typically sung during the monsoon season.
Jhula: Traditional songs celebrating the swing festivals of North India. Focuses on improving expression, voice modulation, rhythm, and melody. Suitable for students seeking to enrich their repertoire and explore the lighter, expressive side of Indian music.
